Welcome to Eagles Harbor!
We’re so happy you’re here!
Whether you’ve purchased an unimproved lot or an existing home, getting set up in a new place can be cumbersome and overwhelming. This page is to offer you some quick resources for some common questions.
Which electric company services Eagles Harbor?
Duke Energy. Many residents also have solar panels and can offer information based on their experience. Let us know if you’d like to speak with any of them.
Which company services propane in Eagles Harbor?
There are many several options, you are not locked into one specific option. See below for a few of the most common.
Is there weekly trash service in Eagles Harbor?
You can opt for trash service through Emerald Sanitation if you’d like. They pick up on Thursdays. At the time of this post the cost was $20/month, billed quarterly. You also have the option of taking your trash to the dump for free; it is about a 10-15 minute drive. There is currently no recycling pick-up option.
Is there an option for public water, sewer, or natural gas?
At this time, there is not. All homes in Eagles Harbor have wells and septic systems, and the option of propane, but not natural gas.
What options do I have for internet service?
There are several options depending on your location and needs. Many residents utilize T-Mobile’s home internet service. It is cell signal based, so line of sight to the tower is important for good speeds. It tends to work best in the front of the neighborhood and not so well in the back. Starlink is a satellite based option. It has typically been pricier, but also reliable with few outages, including during Helene. In 2025, xFinity fiber internet service was added to the neighborhood. It’s had some bumps in the road but for the price difference over Starlink, many residents made the switch. Brightspeed may also still be an option, but very few residents still have it as its cost vs value doesn’t compare with the other options. It comes down to personal preference for your home’s needs.
I bought an unimproved lot, what is the process for getting approved to build?
